To simplify

  • “Our life is frittered away by detail. An honest man has hardly need to count more than his ten fingers, or in extreme cases he may add his ten toes, and lump the rest. Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity!”  (Walden)

In no way can Megre’s words of apology be imagined coming from the pen of American’s great prose/poet, Henry David Thoreau.  But there are lines of continuity, I suppose, between these two characters, denizens of the woods.
